Ok guys it seems most people are having issues not related to the reporter. Can
everyone attach a backtrace of firefox by following the instructions on
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash.
This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

My firefox crashed when I tried stream video with kaffeine-xine In

Firefox Crash
I have the same problem: Firefox crashes with http://www.elisa.net if the color
depth is 16bit (or 15bit), didn't test lower colors.
With 24bit colors it works fine.
Browser is: firefox 1.99+2.0b2+dfsg-1ubuntu2

The crash does not happen for me w/o the Flash plugin either. Also, the
crash does not happen even with the plugin installed if the color depth
is 24bit. It does happen if the color depth is 16bit or lower.

actually write to a command line:

Expected: No crash.
More: Knot 3 has all updates as of 9/16. This happened with

Thank you for your report that Ubuntu's firefox crashes for you under
some circumstances.
The vast majority of firefox crashes are caused by buggy plugins -
notably, the Macromedia Flash player. These crashes cannot be solved by the
Ubuntu team because Flash is not Free
