I can confirm this bug: upgrading to xserver-xorg-core 1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3
and rebooting the system fails to start the xserver (no screens found).
I tried to reinstall my drivers, but this fails. I didn't touch the
xorg.conf. This seems a very severe bug to me...
System: Matrox P650 (dualhead) with

Sorry, should of seen the link. Thanks Daniel for pointing me to that
link. The problem is solved by an update of the system. I hope this bug
didn't affect many users...
