you closed this bug. does this mean youtube will no longer fail to
produce sound in 6.06? also i would like to know the answer to the
aditional question i posted by the way what happened to open office
draw on 6.06? or the screensaver options? shouldn't an upgrade be better
and not less?

This is actually a problem with the Macromedia Flash plugin. It tries
to use the OSS for sound, which is often grabbed by other devices.

The attached initscript should be installed as part of this package.
It can be removed once Macromedia ships a Flash plugin that's less
naive. One can hope that this will happen with Flash 9, which is rumoured
to use ALSA.
We can have this started at S99 and killed at K01.

my only solution is to reistall 5.10. sound returns on youtube. This
would argue that the problem is with the upgrade/updates and not
flashplayer. by the way what happened to open office draw on 6.06? or
the screensaver options? shouldn't an upgrade be better and not less?
