I have the latest BIOS. It is legacy PC. Please, notice that kernel
linux-image-2.6.32-22-generic cannot boot but linux-
image-2.6.32-21-generic works well. This issue is not related to BIOS
but it could be HW related issue

I retested with the latest kernel linux-image-2.6.32-22-generic and this
bug is NOT fixed. I see kernel crashed as documented here. I see this
problem at one PC only; other PCs I have run this kernel without any
problem.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
