I note the following in apt.log:
Package python-gtksourceview2 has broken Depends on
Do you have xubuntu-desktop installed on this machine?
There is a known bug, bug #57143 that make it problematic to update
ubuntu-desktop if xubuntu-desktop is there.
I doubt this is your problem... but it seems worth to ask.

How are you trying to upgrade ?
The update-manager version (Candidate: 1:0.130) is strange it should be
something like 0.134. Is your system up-to-date before starting the upgrade ?
