Public bug reported: Hi,
After installing Lucid on my EeePC 1005HA I'm having several issues. If I switch off wifi, and I reboot/shutdown the computer, next time I boot the wired network card is not detected (I mean, "ifconfig -a" detects no eth0). Only wifi (wlan0) is detected. If I switch the wifi on and reboot, the network card is detected again. The ethernet card is an "Atheros AR8132 / L1c Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" according to "lspci" output. My wireless card is an "Atheros AR9285". I think this might be caused by a bug in the atheros driver. I'm also experienced a problem that seems related with that driver, already reported as bug #561125 (and its many duplicates). Is anybody else having this bug? ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Network card not detected if wifi off on 1005HA Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
