Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop

I installed Xubuntu from the Xubuntu live CD to a Tablet computer
(Fujitsu Stylistic 3400s, with a touchscreen and no keyboard).

The default install of Xubuntu configures 'gksu' to grab the entire
display whenever I want to run an administrative package. This means I
can't use my on-screen keyboard (XVkbd in this case) to answer the
password request. I'm stuck without a physical keyboard, so can't use
the computer as intended.

I read that some Universities are not only requiring laptops for new
students - they are requiring Tablets! This provides a bad experience
of Xubuntu (and Ubuntu? I haven't tried that). I don't think this is a
trivial matter.

Kubuntu uses kdesu, which does not exhibit this behaviour. I have no
problem with my Fujitsu ST5032D (which has a lot more horsepower, and
can run KDE - but I'd like to run Xubuntu on it, too).

I am attempting to disable the UI grab, and think I can do it, but many
won't know how. I think this needs to be addressed.

I think this is a security issue? It does seem to be related to
security choices made.
