I'm having the exact same problem with the NVIDIA accelerated graphics
driver (version current) [Recommended], but everything works well when
using NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 173) and thats the
only thing I tried to fix my problem.
using Toshiba Qosmio X300-15G.

Just did a complete system update (June 14, 2010) then re-installed the
nvidia drivers.. Rebooted, everything looks good!
Will try rebooting again, if you don't hear any more from me you can
