Yes, I installed Xubuntu 10.04. and can now just tell other people with
similar pc's/notebooks (Compaq Armada Pentium III 750 Mhz, 256 MB
RAM)...just don't try! With XP the laptop boots in approx. 5 minutes
(incl. antivirus). Wih Xubuntu 10.04. it became a nightmareit took
more than 10 minutes
Don´t worry, Linux Mint 9 was released, so wait to the lxde or fluxbox
edition.

Thanks for taking care of this report. Sorry for not uploading the syslog. I
retried to install and can now upload the syslog (see new file attachment).
Please do not wonder about the date and time recorded...the system clock's
battery has to be replaced.
By the way, it seems
Please, could You try with Linux Mint 9rc? I think that this was fixed.

Hi Monkey,
With my Pentium III 750 Mhz, 256 MB RAM I think I need an Xfce Version,
otherwise Mint will run very slowly. I just checked at
http://www.linuxmint.com...no Xfce version for 9rc available yet. Pity.
