Has anyone tried oneiric to see if this problem still exists there? The
upstream bug this issue is linked to is marked as having been fixed, and
the oneiric version of xserver-xorg-video-nouveau contains the fix
identified there. Before applying a workaround in the kernel I'd like to
know whether
Ignore my request to test oneiric -- it should work, as the work-around
fix was already merged into the mainline kernel in 2.6.39. Since the
patch is upstream it shouldn't be a problem to pull it in. I've started
test builds, and I'll post links for verification when they're done.
