ubuntu-sounder is the place for this. Though, they've already had a huge
discussion about this. It can be summarized as NetworkManager isn't
mature enough.

Why mark it as refused then? I hope at some time in the future, there
will be an report, and by refusing it, it seems like you don't even
think of including it in the future... Isn't it better to just leave it

Because that kind of logic leads to a bug report on everyone's favourite
package requested it be installed by default.
It isn't in my control, or the package maintainers to control what goes
in the desktop task by default. So it isn't a bug, it's an intentional
choice.
(This isn't like I don't
With edgy, network-manager isn't even on the CD. It should really be
included on the CD, so you can set up a WPA/2 network.

I second this.
Edgy without network-manager by default is not a good experience out-of-
the-box.
I tried using the networking in administration to setup my wireless
card. It didn't work, even though the tool said it had setup the card.
Installing network-manager was of no use since nm-applet
