Yargy, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/
I decided to try a fresh install on this machine, just to make sure. No
luck. Here's my lshw and lspci attached.

This is happening to me as well, only on one of my machines, albeit the
one which has gone the longest without a fresh install... just regular
updates and upgrades as they came along. Not really sure yet if this is
hardware or software related.
The only constant so far seems to be network activity
