Hmm. Bart said that a parted patch was forthcoming to make it not probe CDs or floppies. However, that patch doesn't seem to be available yet, and I don't know exactly what its interface would be so I'm reluctant to try to guess at it myself. Furthermore, the attached patch does not really seem

I have the same problem. Gparted freez on Scanning all devices... if floppy module is loaded. This modules is loaded on bootup, even if I do not have any floppy device pluged. (tested on the liveCD and on a fresh edgy install) If I unload floppy module before launching gparted (sudo modprobe -r
