I can't get the hp laserjet 1022 to work on a fresh ubuntu 6.06
installation.
1. plug the lj 1022 to the computer via USB 2.0
2. boot the computer
3. go to administration->printers
4. click on "new printer"
5. the printer is correctly detected (as local printer)
6. click "next" and finish the installation
7. type some text into gedit and try to print it
8. absolutely nothing happens, no error message. the printing job is queued
though.
