PurpleFool, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

Don't you hate inaccurate bug titles? Some further poking round has determined that the it's not the vncviewer that causes the problem but the xdpyinfo used to see of the server started. To reproduce the issue it was sufficient for me to use: $ Xephyr -host-cursor :20 $ xdpyinfo -display :20
