I also believe Ubuntu should not provide custom patches to Asterisk,
from Debian, since getting upstream support from Asterisk will require a
clean / non-patched version.

I just finished test building this, and was about to upload as it looks
fine to me. Could you please elaborate on the openr2 issue? Maverick
contains the same version of it as Debian unstable:
