This problem often occurs when an application is being started (eg.
thunderbird). Are the resouces of this driver getting corrupted?

I can confirm this problem on another pc (dell inspiron 5150) using the
same type of usb-dongle (Asus WL-167g USB wlan-adapter). The logging are
somewhat different, but the technique to get your wireless network
working again is the same (restart computer or plug the dongle out and
back in).

I suggest to set this bug as solved. Since I am running 2.6.32-23, I
haven't encountered this problem any longer.
