Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I found this problem on both ubuntu dapper drake and ubuntu edgy eft. The gauge of the gnome-power-manager on the systray shows uncorrect value. I use an HP laptop zv5000 series. Gnome-power-manager gauge is empty in particular cases. -> 1 The gauge is empty when I boot the laptop (plugged or not). So I cannot check the battery state. -> 2 The problem can be solved plugging and unplugging the laptop on the sector. -> 3 The procedure number 2 must be repeated each 10% of energy the battery loses. In fact when the battery loses 10% of energy, the gnome- power-manager gauge is one more time empty (at 90%, 80%, 70% etc). Moreover the old battery monitor of the gnome-panel works very well. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Wrong value of the gnome-power-manager gauge https://launchpad.net/bugs/59913 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
