Binary package hint: metacity

In Gconf, when I tick /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager,
nothing happens, according to the gnome 2.16 release notes [1], metacity
should be compiled with the --enable-compositor special option to get 3D
effects.

Yet, for simple users as me, compiling it is painful.

Somehow it has to be far more simple, maybe with another metacity
package, compiled with the special option and called metacity-comositing
by instance, in conflict with the normal metacity 2D package, that the
end user could choose in Synaptic.

Up-to-date Edgy Eft on iBook G4 1,07 GHz…
