I confirm this bug. I do not have any Kmail menu entry, and this is
really annoying. I use Dapper Drake, up to date of today 14 september
2006.

This is true, however important it is, isn't for me to determine. On a
default install, in the taskbar is the Kontact icon which displays an
envelope, the universal symbol for email. Nonetheless, you are correct
though, this could be confusing for some.
