I got something slightly different.
$ gwibber-service -d -o
Found gwibber-service already running, exiting
$ killall gwibber-service
$ gwibber-service -d -o

André, is this behaviour still occurring in the latest release of
gwibber? @Pranersh you are facing another issue.

The problem occurred to me after passing from one wireless network to
another : I jumped from a wireless network without proxy, to one with a
proxy, and then back to the first one.
