Danilo, it is still unclear to me whether the issue was fixed by
official packages or if you are still using packages from my PPA. In the
latter case, this means the patch works and needs to be applied to the
official package.

and after
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dev libgl1-mesa-dri libgl1-mesa-glx
libglu1-mesa libglu1-mesa-dev mesa-common-dev

I would like to be sure it was the patch that did the job.

You will need to run:
sudo mv /usr/lib/dri-classic/unichrome_dri.so /usr/lib/dri
after installing the packages from the PPA.
Before removing or reverting them again, you should run:
sudo mv /usr/lib/unichrome_dri.so /usr/lib/dri-classic
so that the package management will not be confused.
