Public bug reported: I just downloaded knot3 to test on my PowerMac G5, but the kernel oopses right after I select "live-nosplash-powerpc64". After a long period of time, the CD-ROM spins up and then an additional few lines of output are printed, then nothing.
I tried selecting "live-powerpc64" first, but my monitor couldn't handle the bootsplash (19" LCD, ViewSonic VP191b) and I couldn't see anything. After a long while, I gave up and re-tried with nosplash. I also tried the "check" option, but it seems to use bootsplash as well (and thus I had the same problem). ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- knot3 oops when booting on powerpc64 https://launchpad.net/bugs/60686 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
