Public bug reported:

I just downloaded knot3 to test on my PowerMac G5, but the kernel oopses
right after I select "live-nosplash-powerpc64".  After a long period of
time, the CD-ROM spins up and then an additional few lines of output are
printed, then nothing.

I tried selecting "live-powerpc64" first, but my monitor couldn't handle
the bootsplash (19" LCD, ViewSonic VP191b) and I couldn't see anything.
After a long while, I gave up and re-tried with nosplash.  I also tried
the "check" option, but it seems to use bootsplash as well (and thus I
had the same problem).
