Could we get it as a separate package? rvm used to package mplayer-mt
(and related libraries) at https://launchpad.net/~rvm/+archive/testing
but has been silent for over 6 months and there's no version for
maverick.

ffmpeg-mt is still considered experimental. ffmpeg with multithreaded
decoder support will happen once ffmpeg-mt finally gets merged into
mainline ffmpeg.
