[Bug 61338] Re: Lilo error with boot on RAID1 and root on LVM on RAID1

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in Gutsy according to your last comment. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the bug doesn't fit requirements for backporting. See [WWW]

You can close this bug as my system is gutsy and hence I can't reproduce this one. However every upgrade of Ubuntu seems to not handle LVM and RAID well. feisty had a race condition where RAID wasn't started before LVM and hence no filesystem was available. I don't believe my gutsy system is 100%

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in:

This may be caused by bringing up the system unconventionally (https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/initramfs- tools/+bug/52740) [copying my comment from there] Re: [EDGY] Regression: can't boot from lvm root on raid anymore from Marty at 2006-09-24 14:37:00 EST I have the same issue
