I'm occasionally experiencing this problem with my ThinkPad X60s: Trying
to suspend fails with the message stopping tasks timed out after 20
seconds, then it tries to resume, but the display isn't turned on.
I know there's a seperate bug reported about the display not being
turned on when
I can confirm that this happens on my Dell Inspiron 510m, with Edgy. It
happens occasionally when closing the lid - but *appears* to happen more
often when I use the Fn+Esc (Suspend) Hotkey.

suspend when the lid is closed.

This happens on my Thinkpad x60s when using Upstart. I do not
experience this problem when using sysvinit instead.

My machine just failed in this way. If I try and hibernate again, the
same thing keeps happening. This suggests to me that it isn't just
intermittent. I can't figure out what could be causing it, however, so
any help would be very welcome.
