[Found Workaround] I just installed the real time kernel from the
repository and it does not have this bug. I can suspend and the machine
comes right back no problem. It does seam like the icons are not drawn
as sharply using this kernel but I think it's worth it to have suspend
(plus, I'll love it
I've tested this bug on the upstream kernel. suspend is still broken and
it looks like the same issue. FYI - hybernate does not appear to be
working in the upstream kernel either.

I believe I have isolated this to an issue with the vga chipset on the
Inspiron 600m. lspci tells me that the culprit is: 01:00.0 VGA
compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV250 [Mobility
FireGL 9000] (rev 02). Unfortunately, I can't unload the radeon module
and see if suspend works wh
