Thanks, but I think we can safely wait for Debian to do this. There's
no urgent reason to do it in Ubuntu that would justify the divergence
from Debian.
Please check whether there's a Debian bug about this, and if not then
file one with your patch. (They probably won't want to accept it until
My first contribution from the ubuntu harvest list. Hope the patch is
good. From what I understood, I changed the contents of the control file
in debian directory.

I apologize for subscribing the ubuntu-archive team, which was not the right
thing to do.
Reopening the bug task for diffutils-doc so someone can provide a debdiff in
which the diff-doc binary package doesn't get build.
