Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

I installed 10.04 with root partition in RAID 1 software. After that if I
removed first drive (I tried with two sata drives) the system cannot boot, but
if I removed the second one the system boots normally in degraded mode.
I suspect grub is not installed correctly during installation mode.
I also tried to re-launch grub-install on the second drive (grub-install
/dev/sdb seen that bug #585742) but with no success (the system cannot boot up).
Tested with 10.04 desktop edition on a VirtualBox machine.

Honestly I find (see also bugs #585742 and #617284) RAID installation
almost unusable if root device is on a RAID metadevice seen that the
system is not recoverable if something goes wrong.

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
