Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
After launching an application, the normal expectation is that its window should appear in the foreground. On my Ubuntu 10.04 system this is not the case when opening Rhythmbox (0.12.8) . The only change is that the icon appears in my panel, which I must then click to cause Rhythmbox to appear. This breaks many conventions of application behavior, and could be confusing for new users who may not have noticed the appearance of the icon. Even for those that do, a common need after opening an application like Rhythmbox is to play something. So it seems as though it would be best if it appeared in the foreground after being launched. Many thanks to all those who have contributed time and energy to this project. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Show main window after launching Rhythmbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620529 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
