I did the same thing as RichardNeill .. It just happened to me, I figured out that I needed to chmod a+w /dev/null when I tried to log in from the command prompt... I still can't log in to X
xrdb takes 100 percent of the cpu until I kill it, then I get punted back to kdm. when will the fix come out? I see the bug says it's already release...
