Same here, use a hauppauge wintv pci go2 with conexant chip.
sudo pico /etc/modprobe.d/tvcard
insert this two lines:
options cx88xx card=1 tuner=56 radio=1
tda9887 debug=0
and to load them auto
sudo pico /etc/modules
insert this two lines:
tda9887
cx88xx

I just went to app > sound & Video > Zapping TV viewer.
and it crashed trying to load.
I have a WinTV-D ( BT878 based ) NTSC/ATSC tuner.
which works, just NTSC OTA/Cable and not the ATSC part, with KnoppMyth.

I'd see a windows for Zapping with a window over that saying
"Cannot start video overlay zapping_setup_fb failed"
then the bug report tool would pop up.
