I've just upgraded to gutsy with kernel 2.6.22-14-generic and bug still exists:
after suspension to ram I can't get my laptop (nx8220) wake up.

the workaround is to delete the splash line from the kernel cmdline in the grub
config file
it may be possible to use a lowres dapper-style usplash as well but did not
look into how to achieve that

turns out it's the same with other kernel images. Resume no longer works
only if splash is on the kernel cmdline.
