Binary package hint: xserver-xgl
The aticonfig command (part of the fglrx driver) fails under Xgl for
options which require direct communication with the driver, for example
setting power states. The following is an example of trying to run the
command.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/X11$ aticonfig --list-powerstates
Error: Unable to obtain POWERplay information.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/X11$
Similarly, the atieventsd daemon cannot seem to control the card.
This works fine under the normal Xorg server.
