When I plug in my Samsung i500 palmphone (PalmOS4) under Edgy, and try
to sync, I usually get no visible response. Checking dmesg, I see the
message "Device lied about number of ports, please use a lower one"
repeated many times. I have managed to get about 3 syncs out of (large
number). Sometimes, it will also dump weird messages to a terminal, and
then my keyboard becomes useless without a reboot. The palmphone works
fine under a certain other OS.
