I was experiencing this bug on an Edgy system, installed the proposed
package, and there's no bug anymore. Program appears to be functioning
normally.

The fix is in edgy-proposed. I need two people to check that it works
before it can enter edgy-updates. Please report your results with the
-proposed package in this bug.

I can confirm that in 6.10, Bluefish 1.0.6 crashes when using any save
function if .bluefish/session doesn't exist. This seems to be the only
file in the directory that it depends on.
The workaround of opening and then closing any file seems to fix it for
me.

I also can confirm, up-to-date edgy system, and bluefish crashes when
saving from the save icon, not sure about the menu save option.

Indeed, I can confirm you that when I delete the ~/.bluefish directory I
have to do the workaround you mentioned in order to be able to work with
Bluefish. Afterwards it works perfect.

Hi Pablo / Eric,
Do you have an existing ~/.bluefish directory? If you don't, and this
is a new install, can you try as a workaround opening a file (any file)
first, then trying to save a new document. If this workaround works,
then we have a fix to apply.
