Bug still exists in Oneiric Beta 2 with latest 3.0.0-12-generic kernel,
on same machine.
Except for a couple details :
- Machine now never seems to hang during boot (plymouth time) anymore.
- Machine now very often (most of the times) hangs during the opening of
an Ubuntu Gnome/Unity session
