PROBLEM SOLVED. I just figured out that using the OpenDNS server numbers
in network manager was blocking my ability to print. I switched back to
default (no OpenDNS) and printing works fine now. Please delete are mark
this as solved, thanks!

From the information that you have provided it does appear that your
desktop is experiencing a more general network issue when connecting to
the printer rather than a Samba specific issue.
Please update this bug with any further information that you have once
you have tested using a 10.04 livecd.
UPDATE:
I am able to find the printer and install it from a LiveCD of Ubuntu
10.04.1.
The Ubuntu 10.04.1 LiveCD found the printer at: smb://NET/Printer
whereas installed versions find it at: smb://MSHOME/NET/Printer
So, I decided to go back into my Maverick beta here and try to find
the printer

Its possible that apparmor is preventing access; however the output from
/var/log/kern.log is inconclusive so please could you execute the
following commands:
sudo aa-complain /usr/bin/smbclient
smbclient -L //MSHOME/NET
If apparmor is blocking access, these commands should enable the access

Thanks for the information that you provided in your last few comments.
Looking at the output of the commands in #3, it looks like your computer
is having trouble communicating with the print server.
If you have a firewall running on your computer this could be blocking
outbound and inbound
I do not believe Im behind a firewall, unless the upgrade from Lucid to
