I added a file to a JAR archive via drag-and-drop, and it works fine.
I'm using file-roller 2.32.0-0ubuntu1. Can you please confirm the
version you're using and see if you can reproduce the bug? Thanks!

This now works for me in 2.32.0.
One thing I noticed, however, that I'm not sure is a bug:
If you drag and drop onto a zip archive that does not have a .zip
extension (e.g. archive), file-roller will create a separate file
(archive.zip) rather than updating the file you have open. Not sure
about
