Public bug reported: I have tried to mount a floppy containing a fat filesystem on my ubuntu 6.06.1 system: I have noticed that it takes quite a lot of time and stresses the fd driver heads, as I can hear lots of seeks.
I think the entries in the logs (see below) about UDF and CDROM are quite suspicious... of course I wasn't doing anything with the cdrom driver at the moment. I don't think it is a problem with the floppy disk, since this problem appeared with several other disks. I don't think it is a problem with the fd driver either, since it is quite new. It is interesting that the very same disks were mounted with no problem at all on another computer with ubuntu 5.10.
