You made this bug report in 2010 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?

Using Ubuntu 10.04, when I copy text (a URL or body text) from a webpage
rendered with Opera 11.01, it will copy into the To or CC field but not
into body text. This does not seem to be a problem using Chrome or
Firefox. I am also using Fluxbox but the problem also occurs when using
Gnome as well.
I've got the same problem trying to paste from Tomboy into Opera, I don't know
how to reproduce as sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but I've
encountered it many times now. I can still paste into gedit and even google
Chrome, but not Opera. I don't use Thunderbird so I don't know if
