package tex-common 2.08 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
I read the log files and they said the error was caused due to a unsupported
zlib installation.
I had previously installed zlib version 1.2.5 in my system which was not what
the installation script expected.
Once i removed the links to that zlib version, it works fine.
This is NOT a bug
