With every new version i notice it takes incremental time, and it
currently needs about 10 minutes to start

Since ubuntu 10.10 amd64 (with latest updates) I also got the slow-
startup bug.
Starting evolution takes on my quite fast computer (2*3.2GHz, 8GB DDR2,
...) 17 seconds :-O
This need to be fixed!

E. was already very slow with some thousands of messages; but now (after
upgraded from Ubutun 10.04 to 10.10) version 2.30.3
is actually unusable!
Every time upgrading ubuntu Evolution gives a lot of problem!
I'm searching how to substitute it.
