Sorry, it's interesting that the absence of one little word can
dramatically change the context/meaning of a sentence. I am NOT sure
what is causing the light to change. I thought that it might be an
indicator of traffic/activity but it does not happen often enough to
justify it being that.

So if you're sure what causes it, why don't you share your knowledge
with us, to fix this problem? :S

I have noticed the same occurrence on my HP dv7 laptop, the connection
does not seems to be affected, but I'm sure what is causing the light to
change colors from time to time.
