That's not really a solution to the problem Pascal. It's no matter, my
parents were having many issues with Ubuntu which I had I reported, but
the bug reports but ended being ignored. So I just gave up and put
windows 7 on it.

Yup, same problem here. There is a driver included for the HP D1660 in
version 3.10.2, but it doesn't work, which is probably not the message
we want to give potential newbie customers who want their computer to
"just work". Surely this would be a simple fix for Natty?
