This bug has been fixed:
clutter-1.0” 1.2.12-0ubuntu15
Now, gnome-shell will still not work, because of old mutter.
I will make a separate bug report on this issue.

Well it seems to be that clutter-1.0_1.2.12-0ubuntu14 is too old.
It is not build against the new gobject-introspection_0.9.12, which is already
in natty repos.
Also noticed that newer clutter build clutter-1.0_1.2.12-0ubuntu15 failed,
perhaps because too old json-glib.
The newest version
This is due to clutter not being recompiled against the latest gobject-
introspection because webkit is not compiling, see bug 663629.
