Public bug reported:

I booted from a newly-created 4GB live, persistent USB flash drive,
which was made using the original Ubuntu 10.04 live CD, 32 bit, desktop
version. I went to Update Manager to install the 341.9MB of updates.
During my first attempt, the wireless Internet connection was
temporarily disrupted, but it seemed to install everything OK except
this package. During the second attempt, there was no problem with the
Internet connection, and the second attempt also failed.
