Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
When running live-CD of AMD64 Maverick (Ubuntu 10.10), no IP number is assigned, and no connection is made with wired router. A perusal of Ubuntu forums reveals at least one other instance of a system using an Intel PCI-e NIC with a similar problem. This issue does NOT arise on the same system when using live CD of i386 Maverick, nor with installed AMD64 10.04. Because of the issue with the live CD, no attempt was made to complete the Maverick install, so I cannot say if the problem persists after installation, but I see no reason to suspect it would not. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Possible issue with 64-bit 10.10 network drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
