Finally we have bought a motherboard model fully supported in 10.04. I
can not keep doing tests on this hardware because we returned the
Gigabyte G41MT-D3 to the supplier.

also using force as root is a REALLY dumb idea, if you screw up the
command and unleash some unholy command you can EASILY ruin your OS
without any effort at all, using rm -rf as a standard command is one of
the worst habits a user can form. The data is in $HOME and only used
when pulseaudio

After installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-lucid-generic and updating
lucid to the latest state sound still doesn't work.
