Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

In a Data Pilot, when (de)selecting values of a particular field (with
the tick-boxes), sometimes the wrong values are (de)selected. In
particular, this happens when the "(empty)" value is present, and
appears to be sort-order dependent.

In the attached example "Pilot_bug.ods":
1) go to the sheet "DataPilot_Sheet1_1"
2) Click the down-arrow icon of the "Category" field (cell A4) and
        choose "Sort Descending"
3) Click the down-arrow icon of the "Category" field (cell A4) and
deselect the third value (the blank one representing empty)

The expected behaviour should be to remove the "(empty)" value from the
category field, displaying only the "Fruit", "Spices" and "Vegetables"
categories. Instead what happens is that the "Vegetables" value is
removed, and the "(empty)" category remains displayd (along with the
"Spices" and "Fruit" categories).

This behaviour persists with subsequent attempts to (de)select fields using the
tick-boxes.
The problem also occurs when a custom sort list is used.
Only when "Sort Ascending" is selected can the fields be selected correctly.

Finally, if the empty value is entered in the originating data and the data
pilot is refreshed
(e.g. enter "Nuts" in Sheet1 cell A8, and choose the DataPilot's
"refresh" manu option)
the new value is not recognised for (de)selection or in any
ascending/descending sorts.
